Bleiswijk, December 15, 2023 - Havecon is pleased to announce significant changes in its organizational structure with the appointment of Peter Broekman as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective January 1st, 2024.
Founded on the 9th of November, 2006, Havecon has experienced substantial growth over the past seventeen years, establishing itself as a leading company in the national and international greenhouse construction sector. In light of the increasingly complex challenges in the market, Havecon has implemented strategic organizational changes, particularly as a partner of the Atrium Agri consortium, including the appointment of a new CEO.
The establishment of Atrium Agri in 2019 and the resulting collaboration with partners mark a crucial strategic step for Havecon. This collaboration enables the company to respond optimally to changes in the greenhouse market and society. To better our performance, we are expanding the management team to effectively integrate these new developments.
Henk Verbakel, the current CEO and co-founder of Havecon, has decided to redistribute responsibilities to better focus on the commercial aspects of the company. In line with this restructuring, Peter Broekman will be appointed as the new CEO. Peter Broekman brings extensive experience in the greenhouse sector and financial services, with an impressive track record at organizations such as Rabobank and Achmea.
The collaboration between Henk Verbakel and Peter Broekman goes beyond business relationships; there is a shared vision for the industry and how to lead an organization. Henk Verbakel will naturally remain active as the commercial face of Havecon and will retain his role as a point of contact. Peter Broekman will focus more on strategic and general tasks within Havecon. Hans van de Salm, who has been serving as COO since mid-2021, will continue to perform his operational duties and be part of the management team.
